Few months ago, Vjeran and I were sitting in a noisy brasserie in Brussels. We know each other for some time now, and over the past years we have been doing a lot of research on collective memories and identities in both Croatia and Serbia. We started talking about Vjeran's current project FRAMNAT and my upcoming trip to Croatia in the framework of my thesis. And then we had an amazing idea: to organize a road trip from Zagreb to Belgrade - a sort of memory trip which ties and divides Croatia and Serbia, the past and the present, then and now. During the trip we shall be interviewing state- and non-state actors, local academia and the visitors of Jasenovac commemoration to be held on 23rd of April (2017). The #ZG2BG road trip starts this week. Hope you will able to "virtually" join us and follow us as we drive on the highway of "Unity and brotherhood".
